Welcome to your Magnificent Monday!
Wow! It's the first sentence of the article and I'm already using five exclamation points! That's wild! Now it's six! Wait! Seven! I can't stop myself!
One of the things I hate most in life is boring writing without any emotion. See Spot run. See Spot stay. See Spot eat a treat. OMG my head is about to explode. Oh, no, please don't explode. Where's the fun in that? See Spot chase after the bird with wild abandon! See Spot use every ounce of energy to remain in one spot for 10 seconds! See Spot voraciously devour the Beggin' Strips like he's been starved for a week, 4 minutes after eating dinner! That's much more exciting! SEE! I told you so!
Even in my business writing and emails to clients, I tend to write a bit like I speak. Enthusiastic! Passionate! Engaged! Excited! Fun! It's so engrained in my vernacular I tend to not notice it as much as I probably should. However, given the limp state of over using periods throughout history, I am making up for lost time! Today, this morning, in the moment, right now while over using a comma, I am preparing to finish my coffee at 6:43a and begin my cardio. How long will I be on the elliptical this morning? It's a Mystery of the Universe until my feet actually are solidly planted on the machine. On my days off, I prefer to do a minimum of 30 minutes before I do sets of free weights to keep me looking like Fabio. The challenge will be if my finger can stay pressed on the time button long enough to move the mark to 35, 40, 45, 50, 55 or even 60 minutes! Here I thought I'd almost get through a whole paragraph without using the exclamation point. Statistically it's highly improbable! I love it! I love using the exclamation point! It turns that frown upside down! And that, my friends, is how I'm kicking off my Monday morning on my day off. Enthusiastically embracing the exclamation point and all of the energetic joy it brings to my life. How are you celebrating the start to your week? Post your pictures and share you story here!
